Blog Direction: If we have to solve the great problems of the 21st century with the technology of the 20th century, we will fail. Fortunately that is not what is going to happen. I will uncover, follow, and publicize those new technologies that will make solutions possible. I am particularly interested in addressing climate change, alternative energy, population peaking, and the future of NASA. Experience Aerospace engineer, 22 yearsDesigner in flight hardware, wood, and technical actionFuturist, of the steely-eyed school -- See the problem, address it -- Web master: Woodware Designs, http://www.charm.net/~jriley/woodware.html Author of blogs, wiki articles, two books, and a number of technical papers A Progressive since the 1960's I am an odd duck. I am a technical person who is has been a progressive for 50 years. The reasons are simple: (1) the Jim Crow segregation of my youth was simply unfair, and (2) there was a draft for the Viet Nam war. I have hands-on experience in civil rights, anti-war work, and technological design for alternative life styles. I am a visual/conceptual thinker. This does way of thinking not naturally support to great language skills. I clearly need to partner with a member of Garrison Keillor's Professional Organization of English Majors (POEM).
