My story is that I am 59 Years old (I will turn 60 in June of 2009).
I have been a Lifelong Democrat and lately I am becoming an environmental activist. I saw Al Gore's film "An Inconvenient Truth" and also saw "Fuel" (a great film) as well as "Who Killed the
Electric Car." I know that 50% of the Electricity in the US is generated by Coal and that Big Oil, Big Coal and Big Nuclear receive Billions in subsidies from the Federal Government that they ddo not need. I hope that some of the Billions in Federal Subsidies can be shifted to support Wind and Solar Power. The Earth is at a
Turning Point. We only have about 100 years left of Oil and 400 years left of Coal. The US (and the worlds other strong economies) mmust shift to alternative energy if we are to have any chance of (A) Slowing Global Warning (B) having long-term energy sources (like Solar) that will take care of our future energy needs.
My vote is for technologies that are in harmony with Mother Earth and not Environmentally Damaging.
